The new MAP mOSA Module offers exceptional web and touchscreen user interfaces, and a 30% improvement in measurement resolution as compared to similar products on the market. A member of the LightDirect family of hot swappable test modules, the single slot mOSA is a fraction of the size of legacy optical spectrum analyzers, reducing the valuable automated manufacturing test system footprint by up to six rack units. SUNNYVALE, Calif., Finisar (NASDAQ: FNSR) introduced its WaveAnalyzer™ 200A Portable Optical Spectrum Analyzer. This compact battery-operated instrument with touch screen display is designed for spectral measurements in advanced optical communication systems in the R&D laboratory as well as installation, maintenance and troubleshooting applications in networks and data centers. This device represents the latest advancements in test and measurement technology offered by Finisar.


The new WaveAnalyzer 200A is based on heterodyne measurement technology and provides a scan time of less than a second across the entire C-band of optical communications with a resolution bandwidth of 1.8 GHz. It is operated using a Graphical User Interface on a large touch screen and provides functions like Optical Signal to Noise Ratio (OSNR) measurement and WDM analysis. The WaveAnalyzer 200A can be remotely accessed and controlled through an Ethernet interface with full programming for integration into automated test systems. The device offers market-leading performance with attractive pricing and can be ordered immediately.
