Linde signs a long-term contract with BASF in France.
8 February 2022 - Linde (NYSE: LIN; FWB: LIN) announced a long-term agreement for the supply of hydrogen and steam with BASF, one of the world's largest chemical companies.
Linde will design, construct, own, and operate a new hydrogen production facility in Chalampé, France, effectively doubling the company's current capacity in the Chalampé chemical park. This second plant will supply BASF's new hexamethylenediamine (HMD) manufacturing facility as well as help Linde's local merchant customers meet rising hydrogen demand. The plant is scheduled to come online in the first half of 2024.
